Description
- 02 INDICATIVE EXPERIENCE:
A peaceful and relaxing way to start Sunday is with oriental tea, art and culture session.
Congratulations on stepping further into the world of Ink Wash Art. Having had a positive experience, you now have the opportunity to explore this ancient art form with a history spanning thousands of years. At this stage, we will offer workshop designs with different focuses. You will receive a more in-depth experience tailored to your preferences. We invite those to this workshop who have attended our workshop once or those who have not attended but have some prior knowledge of this art, or to those who are simply interested in flower & bird themes.
- THEME:
This workshop centers on the “flowers and birds” theme. While ‘flowers and birds’ are key themes in Chinese ink painting, we’ll focus specifically on the “four gentlemen”. Same as in our previous workshop, you’ll enjoy a unique tea, paired with insightful lectures and meditation on this theme and its significance in Sumi-e art. The ‘Four Gentlemen’ refers to plum blossoms, orchids, bamboo, and chrysanthemums in Chinese paintings. These motifs appear frequently in ancient Chinese artworks, particularly in flower-and-bird paintings.
- MUYŌ CULTURE & TEA HOUSE:
MUYŌ is a newly opened teahouse and cultural center in Helsinki, where culture and tea blend seamlessly. With its premium decor and calming Zen禅 ambiance, it’s the perfect space to immerse yourself in our workshops on a deeper level. A more profound experience in a comfortable environment is designed just for you.
Two kinds of premium-quality rice paper and a brush are included in the price.
